I have a Sony Vaio with a DVD-r/+ ,DVD-rw/+rw burner using Roxio Easy DVD
creator and 3.0 Shrink to try and copy DVDs . I have tried all formats all
of course work in the Sony Computer and Apex TV DVD combo. None of these
formats work in a New Sony DVD player or Toshiba which claim to play DVD+/-
,DVD-rw dvd+rw. Am I using the wrong Burning Software? I see alot of people
use Nero and have 2 files 1 for Video and 1 for sound. When I use shrink I
end up with all kinds of files and Just drag them down and burn them with
Roxio easy creator! I have 3 sources of Media Maxwell ,Phlips and Memorex .
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Rick

Well, there's your problem, I believe. You need to take those "all
kinds of files," which are .ifo, .bup, and .vob files, and place them
in a folder that says VIDEO_TS (note the use of all caps and an
underscore). Now, burn the VIDEO_TS folder, and you shoud have more
luck with playing the movie on your standalone DVD player.

Had the same issue when I was a newbie a
few weeks ago.
I then learned the VIDEO_TS folder was
needed and Roxio has worked great with
my Memorex Burner.
I use DVDShrink to rip the DVD to an
empty VIDEO_TS folder and then use Roxio
Disc Creator Classic and drag the
VIDEO_TS folder into the project and
then burn.
