Suggestions for alternatives to copytodvd for burning dvds after using
dvdshrink? I have Roxio EZ CD Creator 5 Basic, but I'm pretty sure I can't
do anything with that. Preferably, I'd like freeware - who wouldn't? Any
suggestions?

I use Nero 6, but you can do it all with freeware. See

Skid,

Thanks, I looked over the article and printed it for my archives.
Question - I was under the impression that you had to have a copy of Nero
Burning Rom on your computer in order to use ImgTool. That's not mentioned
in the article, however, so maybe I'm wrong about that. I just thought
ImgTool was a plug-in for Nero - which I don't have.

Am I wrong?

Thanks.

More or less true, but if you download the trial version of Nero Express, I
believe IMGtool will have everything it needs. I have the full version of
Nero, so I'm not positive, but I'm sure one of the guides or someone in this
forum can point you in the right direction.

There might be a way to find or download just the files you need to fill
the gap.

OK, thanks. I have downloaded the trial version, but when it runs out, I'm
assuming ImgTools will no longer work. Maybe someone else knows how to get
around this.

I use TMPGEnc's DVD Author, its great. You can edit stuff, create menus and
put together a complete DVD and save it to a special folder, then use
DVDShrink to custom fit it to a DVD-R disk, then use DVD Author's burning
tool to burn and finalize your new DVD. Best part of all DVD Author is
freeware.
